Sweet Penelope was found as a stray by a kind family who took her in from the cold and realized that she was ill. They called Caring Hearts, who called our vet clinic, and Penelope was quickly evaluated by the medical team, who realized she needed emergency surgery. Penelope was operated on and a piece of plastic was removed from her intestines. She is now recovering and slowly gaining weight. She will be ready for adoption as soon as she is cleared by our vet.
